Safeguarding Children Guidance Policies and Procedures
Brent Thresholds Guidance
Brent Safeguarding Children Partnership also developed a local Thresholds Guide aimed at all practitioners and volunteers supporting or working with children and/or their families within statutory, voluntary, private or independent organisations in Brent.
The Brent Thresholds Guidance is a guide for those working with children and families in Brent on making referrals to access the right level of support at the right time.
(This document is due to be considered for refresh in Autumn 2026 in line with the updates to the London Thresholds Guidance which reflects the Social Care Reform - Families First Partnership Programme)

London Threshold Document: Continuum of Help and Support (updated 2026)
The London Thresholds Guide provides a framework for professionals who are working with children, young people and families.
It aims to help identify when a child may need additional support to achieve their full potential.
This document was updated in August 2026 in the light of the Families First Programme. This is an interim update, pending a wider consultation and the outcome of the DfE consultation on the revised Working Together 2026.
