What the Brent Safeguarding Children Partnership (BSCP) does
How does the BSCP operate?
BSCP operates through a governance framework which sets out the multi-agency safeguarding children arrangements in Brent.
The Brent Safeguarding Children Partnership Multiagency Safeguarding Arrangements
The current arrangements were agreed and published in December 2024.
This document sets out the agreed new partnership arrangements for safeguarding children and young people in the London Borough of Brent. These arrangements follow the Children and Social Work Act in 2017 and the publication of the revised statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023: both of which set out what is expected of organisations, individually and jointly, to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. They also aim to reflect the national legislative changes and the statutory leadership roles of the three safeguarding partners – Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICB) and Police.
